He is the author of Dr. Kidd's Guide to Herbal Dog Care (Storey Books); a practicing holistic veterinarian; a popular speaker on alternative pet care; a columnist for Herbs for Health magazine; and a consultant for pet supplement companies, including Thompson's Nutritional Technologies. His articles have appeared in the Journal of the American Holistic Veterinary Medicine Association and Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Kidd has veterinary practices in San Francisco, California, and McLouth, Kansas.
